On January 12, 1953, Vladimir Horowitz performed the Tchaikovsky Concerto No. 1 in b flat minor with the New York Philharmonic and George Szell. It was recorded by RCA as a stereo experiment but was never released doe to the fact that Horowitz was an RCA artist and Szell and the New York Philharmonic were Columbia Masterworks artists. It was never released commercially for 30 years.

This CD is a transfer from an LP that had never been played.
